Hey Everyone! Sorry its been a while since the last update. I am a student so I had to get through my exams before getting back to work on rockets again. Here are some of the updates we have to show ya'll!
First off, HORIZON F3!!!!! We finally flew the Horizon 3 rocket in January and it was a gorgeous flight! It flew to about 1200 feet on a Estes F15 solid rocket motor. The smoke that the motor produced was amazing! Check out the video on the launch:
Secondly, we finished our TVC code for the Xenon rocket! It is not perfect but it should work to do a hold down and a couple flights!
Third, we designed two new pcbs! First Omega v4 Dev has been completed and will be sent out for production. The major difference between Omega v3 and v4 is the fix of multiple electrical engineering issues and we added a much more precise barometer(BMP388)! Also we revamped Gamma with the BMP388 and added some SMD components to decrease complexity.
Finally, we started building the Horizon 4 rocket. It will first fly on a Aerotech F-20W then a G25 reload. It will be also powered by Gamma Avionics! It has six carbon fiber fins for maximum strength since it will be going mach 1.
